About Forty Winks: The Series
|
|||||
What is it? | |||||
Forty Winks is a black and white, all-ages comic book
series created by Vincent Sneed and John Peters which focuses on the
10-year old Pandora Spocks as she battles the monster in her closet
in Dreamland. Forty Winks has been published as a "series of mini-series," with each group of issues consisting of a self-contained story arc. Each mini-series moves the characters and plot lines forward, but the format also makes it easy for new readers to catch on. |

What is so great about it?
With its simple art and charming story, Forty Winks makes for a very appealing light humor book. Its stories are consistent and feature what has been called one of the most likeable heroines in comics.
Who does it appeal to? | |||||
Forty Winks appeals to some of the most difficult fans in comics to attract: female readers. The series also appeals to fans of Akiko, Sailor Moon, MTV's Daria, Leave it to Chance, Usagi Yojimbo, and is reminiscent of the old Archies, with very '90s sensibilities.
